Angel Tier List

This list ranks weapon families, not invented angel names. Sources are the store page, Steam achievements, demo notes, and launch reviews from the week of August 13, 2026. If a hotfix changes a family, the rank moves. If a screenshot looks cool, the rank does not.

Use starter builds if you have not cleared once. A tier list is a second-night tool.

S — bring them if the run offers them

Shotgun. Inner-ring delete. Overlapping cones win Map 1 clumps and still matter when Endless wraps you. Weak only if you kite at bow distance. Shotgun Master exists because the family carries.

Bow. The honest line tool. Pierce plus movement is a first-boss plan. Split Shot makes the back lane tax demons if you stand correctly. A bow without a closer is a hallway, not an S.

A — strong with one partner

Pistol / dual pistols. The spine of Plan A. Reload and fire rate turn them from chip into a belt. They are the best “I got nothing else” recruit. They fall to A instead of S because they need help on fat clumps.

Rifle. Boss and elite pressure. A-tier when a shotgun or scythe exists. C-tier when it is your only gun. Rifle Master is a late grind, not a first-hour identity.

Scythe. Launch-review favorite for wide sweeps. Treat it as a stylish shotgun. A-tier if you walk through piles. Lower if you orbit. Official text is thinner than the clips, so the rank stays cautious.

B — specialist or trap, depending on the clock

Dual swords. Short AoE slash from the demo update. B-tier on a first clear because the boss can stand outside the slash. A-tier in a packed Endless inner ring if a gun still exists. Do not make them your only plan.

RPG / Kaboom. Highlight damage, nap reload. B-tier as a single burst valve. F-tier as a mono-stack on night one. Chase the achievement after you have a closer and a reload crutch. See Weapon Types.

How Endless changes the board

Endless wants redundancy. S and A families that keep firing beat B families that wait. Launchers need more fire rate than they did at minute eight. Swords climb if the wave is a donut. Bows climb if you can still see a lane. Read Endless Mode before you rebuild the list in your head around one 38-minute clip.

Passives can bump a family half a letter. Split Shot on a bow is more valuable than Split Shot on a shotgun, because the notes say the rear bullet does not apply there. Recovery on a melee angel is more valuable than Luck on anyone. Passives and Stats is the bump list.

What we refuse to rank

Random faces, nun skins, and jack-o poses. Those are skins. Club boxes. Those are club notes. Unnamed angels that only exist in a datamine we do not have. If the UI shows a new family with a master achievement, it gets a row. Until then, it is a portrait.

Pair this page with the item tier list so you do not call a family weak when you just fed it a late Holy Injection. Then play the rank you wrote, twice, before you argue on Steam.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Why are there no angel proper names?

This wiki only ranks families named by official copy, achievements, notes, or consistent reviews. It will not invent a roster.

Is this list for Endless or for the first boss?

Both, with notes. S and A assume a two-range flock. Endless prefers families that keep firing.

Will skins change a rank?

No. Cosmetics do not get a combat row.

When will this list update?

When a hotfix or news post changes a family, or when a new master achievement appears.
