Flock of the Seraphim In-run Loot
How to take a chest without donating the run to a spawn pocket.
Loot is how you catch the power curve the store copy describes. Demons grow. You grow by leveling, recruiting, and picking up the noisy stuff on the ground. This page is pickup hygiene. Values live on the item tier list. The shop after the banner lives on Meta Upgrades.
Chests are a position test
A chest is not a side quest. It is a pause the horde did not agree to. Open it when the nearest clump is dead and you have a sidestep. Skip it when it sits on a corpse pile that just finished dying. Launch players already complain about being telefragged. Standing on a box is how you volunteer.
If the UI offers three cards, use the five-second rule from the tier list: which family is carrying, which printed stat they drink, is the boss already due. Then move. Reading a novel in a chest is a Map 1 death.
Crosses and the animation complaint
Believer now prints the official line: pray 250 times by collecting crosses mid-run. A Steam thread still asked for a longer animation because people miss the reward in the mess. That tells you two things. Crosses matter enough to notice. The feedback is easy to miss. Circle once after a sparkle, then leave. Do not chase a glow through a fresh spawn ring. If you still miss the pickup, that is a UX fight with GuuchanDev, not a reason to stand still for five seconds.
Named stones from reviews
Thorny Heart, Radiating Glow, and Holy Injection are the three names a launch review already put on the late-Endless chopping block. Take them on a first clear. They are comfort. After the boss, prefer fire rate, reload, and pierce for the families you kept. The Endless guide assumes you can drop a pet aura.
If a new name repeats in two public places, it can earn a row. Until then, apply the algorithm and keep walking.
Luck on the ground
Luck on a loot card is a future-chest argument. It will not stop a stomp. If you are hunting a missing family, a Luck pick is defensible. If you are wobbling at minute nine, it is vanity. The stat glossary repeats that so this page can stay about feet.
Ground clutter and FPS
Long runs already stutter in public clips. Extra sparkles do not help. If the floor is a church gift shop, you are lingering. The crash fix is for client death. This page is for player death by shopping. Pick, step, shoot.
A loot habit that survives night two
Open safe chests. Skip unsafe ones. Prefer cadence stats for your spine family. Write new names down. Spend extracted currency later, not during the roar. That habit pairs with starter builds and with Getting Started. It does not pair with a highlight of standing on a box. The box will be there after the clump is gone, or it will not, and either way you will still have a body to steer.
If you want a named shopping order after the banner, leave this page. Loot is the noisy minute. Meta is the quiet one. Mixing them is how people open a chest during a stomp and call the game unfair.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Should I open every chest?
No. Open chests that are clear of a fresh spawn ring. Greed is the common eight-minute death.
What are crosses?
Believer says collect them mid-run to pray. Circle once, then leave. Do not chase a glow through a new wave.
Which in-run items are named so far?
Launch reviews name Thorny Heart, Radiating Glow, and Holy Injection. More rows appear when names repeat in public.
Does loot persist after a run?
In-run stones are for that crusade. Currency and kept angels persist. See meta upgrades and the unlock guide.
